Police have revealed that a 15-year-old boy is among 3 males shot and killed during an alleged confrontation with police in Westmoreland, yesterday.
Police had already identified one of the deceased as 37-year-old Delano Leslie otherwise called ‘Crazy’ of Claremont District, Hanover and Cornwall Mountain Westmoreland, describing him as a major high-risk target.
The other man is Christopher Campbell otherwise called ‘Shadow’.
Police did not release the name of the teen.
Reports are that the males were shot during an alleged confrontation with officers, in an intelligence driven operation.
Its further reported that the operation was carried out by members of the area one fugitive apprehension team, in the Cornwall Mountain community, which falls within the Bethel Town police district.
Two pistols were allegedly seized during the operation.
According to the police, Leslie was wanted in connection with several serious offences, including the murder of Dwayne Ottey, also called ‘Sparrow,’ in Mackfield, Westmoreland, in May 2024, and the murder of Joshua Richards in Johnson Town, Hanover, in December 2023.
He was also being sought in relation to two separate incidents, in which police came under gunfire in the Cornwall Mountain area, in March and September last year.
8 people have been killed by the security forces since the start of 2026.
