A St James community is mourning the death of a beloved resident who was killed during a fire which razed his house Monday night.
The dead man has been identified as 53-year-old Carl Scott of a Blytheston, Content, St James address.
Reports are about 11:30 pm, residents saw fire coming from Scott’s house and raised an alarm.
The fire department was summoned and firefighters who arrived on the scene put out the blaze.
The charred remains of Scott were later discovered in the rubble. Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
