Clarendon Health Department to provide psychosocial support for Rocky Point residents following triple murder
The Clarendon Health Department will be providing psychosocial support for the Rocky Point community, following the recent triple murder.
Last Thursday night, the police were alerted, to an incident, at a residence in the community.
On their arrival, three persons were found with chop wounds and were later pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased have been identified as 32 year old, Lynval Henry a fisherman of Frazersfield, Rocky Point; Annette Lindo, a domestic helper and vendor of the same address; and Ingrid Keisha Lindo, a vendor of West End, Rocky Point, Clarendon.
A male relative was taken into custody.
Following the incident, Councillor for the area Winston Maragh called on the health department, to intervene and provide psychosocial help to the affected residents.
Acting Medical Officer of Health for Clarendon, Dr Kathrine Woods Ramsingh , said that the intervention will begin soon.
She also noted, that the team will conduct its assessment, at the earliest time possible, to determine the type of response that will be needed for the affected persons.
