Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has stressed that Jamaica is working towards recording fewer than 500 murders this year.

He made the statement at the Jamaican Diaspora Town Hall in St. Kitts and Nevis at the weekend.

Dr. Holness noted that Jamaica has made significant investments in national security, which have resulted in gains.

He expressed confidence that the security forces are motivated to achieve fewer than 5 hundred murders in 2026.
