Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness says the country’s urban centres must be rebuilt.
He underscores that this must be done to increase national productivity and efficiency.
Dr. Holness highlights that the major towns are no longer able to accommodate the populations around them.
He says the Government is going full force with its strategy
The Prime Minister states that the passage of Hurricane Melissa has caused the process to be accelerated.
He was speaking at a thanksgiving church service this morning to mark the 50th anniversary of the NHT, at Webster Memorial United Church.
The NHT’s Golden Jubilee is being celebrated under the theme ” Building Communities Housing Generations.”
