St.James police pursuing strong leads in church shooting death of woman last Wednesday
The St. James police say they are following strong leads, as investigations continue into the shooting death of a woman at the Montego Bay New Testament Church of God last Wednesday.
The deceased is 38-year-old businesswoman Corra Thompson of Cumber Avenue, Montego Bay, St. James.
Lawmen say gunmen shot Thompson while she was at the entrance of the church.
A prayer and fasting session was taking place at the church when the shooting occurred.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, Head of the St. James Police Senior Superintendent Eron Samuels states that strong leads are being followed and that investigators should make a breakthrough in short order.
In the meantime, Pastor of the Montego Bay New Testament Church of God, Bishop Ruel Robinson has lauded the response of the police following the incident.
