Two men fatally shot during separate alleged police confrontations early this morning in St. Catherine

Two unidentified men were fatally shot during separate alleged confrontations with the police early this morning.
According to the police the latest incident occurred around 1:19 AM along the Gilden Way main road in Portmore, St. Catherine.
Lawmen say a Browning pistol with four cartridges was seized.
In the other incident, police say an unidentified man engaged lawmen in an armed confrontation around 12:45 A.M. along Job Lane, Spanish Town.
It’s alleged that a point 357 Smith and Wesson Magnum Revolver with 5 cartridges was seized.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) is probing the matter.
INDECOM says 108 persons have now died in alleged confrontations with the security forces since the start of the year.
