A twenty-year-old man is to face the court soon to answer to charges in relation to a physical dispute between him and a woman in Georges Plain, Westmoreland, on Sunday, May 10.
He is Rayon Powell of Jane Marks Road, Georges Plain.
Powell is charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Reports from the Savanna-la-Mar police are that at about 11:00 A.M., during the dispute with the woman, Powell hit her with a stone and a piece of board, which resulted in bruising, swelling, and a broken arm.
The woman reported the incident to the police, and an investigation was launched.
The accused man turned himself in to the police on Saturday, March 16, where he was charged.
His court date is being finalised.
