Transport minister Daryl Vaz is dismissing reports that a man was fatally shot by the police at the Sangster International Airport in Montego Bay, St. James earlier today.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
In a statement, Vaz says based on reports, the man was on the road in the vicinity of the fuel farm.
Vaz notes that investigations so far suggest the man was neither going to nor leaving the airport.
Meanwhile, the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM has confirmed that the man was an American citizen.
Investigations are ongoing.
