The Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority (JCAA) is advising the public and airline operators that temporary operational restrictions may be implemented this evening.
This is being done within portions of Jamaica’s air space.
In a statement today, the authority says these restrictions are anticipated in connection with planned SpaceX starship flight 12 operations from star base, in Texas, United States of America (USA).
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) advised that the primary operational window, affecting the Kingston flight information region, is scheduled between 5:30 p.m. and 7:43 p.m, once the operations proceed.
If it is an uneventful launch, the air space will be available within 10 to 15 minutes.
