FWCF calls for stronger safeguards to protect children on public transportation as video of man engaging in sexual misconduct on bus resurfaces

The Fi We Children Foundation (FWCF) is calling for stronger safeguards to protect children on public transportation.
This follows the resurfacing of a 2022 video, which shows a man engaging in sexual misconduct while seated near a female student aboard a public passenger bus.
The old footage, which has been circulating on social media in recent days, has renewed concerns about the safety of children in public spaces and while commuting to and from school.
FWCF Consultant and Attorney-at-law, Kayla Wright, stressed the need for children and young people to be able to travel without being exposed to sexual misconduct or other forms of inappropriate behaviour.
She noted that incidents of this nature can have a lasting impact on young people.
