Chief Executive Officer of the National Reconstruction and Resilience Authority (NaRRA), Major General Antony Anderson, has dismissed suggestions that he was handpicked for the job.
The Opposition People’s National Party (PNP) questioned the transparency of the recruitment process, following news of Anderson’s appointment last week.
The PNP demanded that the Government reveal if Anderson applied for the position in the initial recruitment exercise.
Speaking during a special interview with the Jamaica Information Service, Major General Anderson confirmed that he submitted an application for the job and was interviewed for over an hour.
