Labour and Social Security Ministry seeks to rectify TRN issues for beneficiaries under ROOFS programme

The Labour and Social Security Ministry says it hopes to rectify issues regarding Tax Registration Numbers (TRN) submitted by beneficiaries under the Restoration of Owner or Occupant Family Shelters (ROOFS) Pogramme within the next two weeks.

Portfolio Minister, Pearnel Charles jr, explained that some of the TRN information submitted by potential beneficiaries was incorrect.

The Ministry is working with the Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) to resolve the issue, which has impacted some 9,000 assessments from being verified.

He was speaking at yesterday’s Post Cabinet press briefing.
