The Government has warned that anyone who squats on crown lands, as of yesterday June 9, will not be included in any relocation exercise.
Persons informally settled on these lands have already been identified.
In his contribution to the Sectoral Debate, Mnister with responsibility for Land Settlements Robert Montague said the Government has taken note of squatting challenges.
Mr. Montague pointed out that the authorities needed to find a way to disincentivise land scamming.
He warned that persons found to be selling crown land will be prosecuted.
