The Ministry of Health and Wellness officially launched the Community Arranged Response Effort (C.A.R.E.) Fund, this morning.
The $500 million initiative forms part of the Ministry’s broader policy agenda focused on addressing the social determinants of health and strengthening the role of families and communities in disease prevention and wellness promotion.
The fund will be administered over a two-year period.
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Principal Director for the Enabling Environment in Health and Client Services, Dr. Kimorley Humphrey said the C.A.R.E Fund seeks to promote prevention and healthier lifestyles, among other things.
