PM Holness reiterates that having a land title can assist families break inter-generational poverty

Prime Minister, Dr. Andrew Holness has reiterated that having a land title can assist families break inter-generational poverty.
He explained that this is part of the wider thrust of Government to correct the long-standing problem of disorderly settlement.
Dr. Holness also emphasised that owning a parcel of land can contribute greatly to an individual’s own personal development.
He underscored that Government remains committed to ensuring informally settled residents get their lands regularized.
He was speaking at the recent land titling ceremony for residents of the Ackee Walk and Jackson Town communities in St. Andrew.
