3 y/o girl killed in motor vehicle crash in Westmoreland

A 3-year-old girl was killed in a motor vehicle crash along the Ferris main road in Westmoreland yesterday.

Dead is Lucian Baron of Water Works District, in Whithorn.

It’s reported that at about 9:30 P.M., the Isuzu Elf motor truck that Lucian was a passenger in was being driven east towards Savanna-la-Mar.

On reaching a section of the roadway, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, which veered off the roadway and over turned.

Both Lucian and the driver sustained injuries.

They were taken to the hospital where the child was pronounced dead and the driver was admitted for treatment.
