One of the three children struck by a boulder in St. Elizabeth yesterday has reportedly been transferred to a medical facility in Kingston and is deemed to be in serious condition.

Reports say two girls and one boy were travelling from Breadnut Walk along an old railway track to school in Merrywood.

The boulder rolled down a hillside and hit them.

Member of Parliament for North West St. Elizabeth, Andrew Morris, told IRIE FM News that one of the girls was rendered unconscious.

All three children were taken to the Black River Hospital for treatment.

One was later released, another remains at Black River, while the third was transferred.
