A famous leader once said that so powerful is the light of unity that it can illuminate the whole earth.
The 74-year-old woman who was evicted from her home in Maverley and left wondering where she would spend Christmas has been gven a reason smile.
Thanks to citizens who became aware of her situation and in the true spirit of unity came together to find a house for her to stay, changing her tears of sorrow to joy.
The citizens who said they were determined not to let the well known 'dress maker' sleep.on the side of the road, also helped to move the little furniture and other items that she owned to the new premises.
Reports have also emerged that.political representatives have since come forward and given their commitment to provide support as the house in which the senior.citizen was placed is in need of refurbrishing.
Earier.this week reports emerged that the place where the woman once lived had been sold and despite several warning for her to move she failed.
And since the story was published a.number of Jamaicans have expressed an interest to provide future assistance to the woman regarded by many as one of the mother's of the community.
"Hard times can reach anyone I.want to.help in any way I can," said one social media user from Clarendon.
