The Manchester police are trying to determine a motive for Friday's shooting death of a bus driver at Holmwood Technical High School near Christiana in the parish .
The deceased is Rohan Gentles, alias 'Scrooge', of Chudleigh, Manchester.
Reports are that sometime after 8am, the driver was on the school compound waiting for students to board the bus for a football match, when he was approached by unknown assailant(s) and shot.
The police were alerted and Gentles was assisted to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Classes were dismissed early at the school after the gun attack.
According to administrators at the institution, Gentles was a "good" and "jovial" man who transported students to several events, including football matches. He was working in that capacity at the school for more than three years.
