Kingston parents urge JUTC to deploy extra buses on Kingston-Ocho Rios route for summer holiday
This content originally appeared on Jamaica News.
Parents in Kingston, who seek to preoccupy their children over the summer holiday, are appealing to the Jamaica Urban Transit Company to increase the number of buses plying the Kingston to Ocho Rios route during the period.
Route 610, which runs daily using the toll road, has been well-utilised by commuters looking for a affordable alternative to regular route taxis and buses.
There are however complaints that the JUTC buses that ply the route are too packed.
A concerned parent said the issue is further compounded by higher than normal temperatures.
