Sandals Resorts International has announced the addition of new suite categories across its Caribbean properties, marking a strategic step in its ongoing efforts to redefine the all-inclusive travel experience.

These developments, part of the company’s broader "Sandals 2.0" initiative, aim to balance contemporary design with the unique natural and cultural features of the Caribbean.

According to Executive Chairman Adam Stewart, the additions reflect a deliberate approach to innovation.

“We remain focused on evolving our offerings to meet the expectations of today’s travellers while honouring the essence of the region,” Stewart said. “This is about creating accommodations that reflect the beauty of the Caribbean and cater to the diverse needs of our guests.”

At Sandals Ochi in Jamaica, the brand is launching two-bedroom and four-bedroom Butler Villas with private pools. Designed for group stays, these accommodations are part of the “FOMO: Fear of Missing Ochi” package, which combines bespoke experiences with practical conveniences such as VIP Beach Club access and in-villa dining. The expansion of nearby Ian Fleming International Airport, with new direct flights from Miami, adds to the accessibility of this property, Sandals noted.

The new Balmoral building at Sandals Royal Caribbean will feature Beachfront One-Bedroom Skypool Butler Suites with a Roof Terrace - a “Sandals First” in Montego Bay, Jamaica.

In Montego Bay, Sandals Royal Caribbean will debut one-bedroom Skypool Butler Suites with Roof Terraces in February 2025. These elevated accommodations, located in the newly constructed Balmoral building, offer panoramic ocean views and a design inspired by the surrounding coastal environment.

Beyond Jamaica, Sandals is broadening its portfolio of Rondoval Villas, a room category that has gained popularity for its intimate and immersive design. Properties such as Sandals Regency La Toc in Saint Lucia and Sandals Royal Curaçao will feature expanded collections of these villas, each tailored to reflect the distinct aesthetic and environment of their locations.

The introduction of these suite concepts comes at a time when luxury travellers are seeking more personalised and immersive experiences.

Sandals said its decision to diversify its offerings is not only a response to market demand but also a move to reinforce its position in the competitive Caribbean hospitality sector.
