The Transport Operators Development Sustainable Services (TODSS) is appealing to the relevant authorities to address concerns about poor road conditions in areas deemed crash hot spots.
This in the wake of yesterday’s fatal crash in Falmouth, Trelawny.
The 2vehicle collision resulted in the deaths of 7 people.
TODSS President Egeton Newman lamented that yesterday’s incident is a reminder of another crash in the same place last year that left some taxi operators dead.
Newman noted that the issue of poor road conditions was again raised at the recent meeting of the National Road Safety Council.
He also cautioned persons travelling to St. Ann this weekend to attend various events to exercise greater care on the roads.
