Energy Minister Daryl Vaz says with developments in technology he expects the Jamaica Public Service to determine the circumstances of Friday’s islandwide blackout much faster than for previous incidents.
He was speaking at a press conference yesterday.
The all-island power outage occurred on Friday between 9:02 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Meantime, Mr Vaz dismissed conspiracy theories surrounding the island wide power outage.
He highlighted that based on reports from the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) there have been multiple major blackouts since 2006.
