Traditional New Year’s Eve balls are planned for many hotels in areas not badly affected by Hurricane Melissa.
Immediate Past President of the Jamaica Hotel and Tourist Association (JHTA) Robin Russell said the festivities are expected to feature fireworks, food and music.
He noted that due to the closure of larger resorts in Montego Bay, the focus this year is on hotels in Ocho Rios and Kingston.
