The Manchester police are investigating the death of a baby in Top Hill district this morning.
The name of the child has not yet been released.
He was about 10 weeks old.
Police are still trying to ascertain the details of the incident.
Speaking to reporters in the community today, a close friend of the family said the incident has left her upset.
She said the child’s parents reportedly made plans to have the child christened at church later this month.
The child’s grandfather said the entire community is distressed by the news, noting that he did not get the chance to meet his grandson.
