ISSA Class One Girls triple jump champion Zavien Bernard leapt her way to a personal best victory on her last attempt as she took the Penn Relays title on Thursday.
Bernard trailed Seannah Parsons of Randolph High School out of New Jersey, who took the lead on her third attempt with 12.68 meters.

But remembering a solid motivational speech from her coach Cory Bennett, she mustered all she had, then gave it her all and snatched the win with a leap of 12,71 meters on the final attempt.
Irie FM will have comprehensive coverage of the 130th running of the Penn Relays throughout the three days of competition.
