Jamaicans are being advised to expect unstable weather conditions this weekend.
The Met Service said a broad trough currently across the north-western Caribbean is expected to move closer to Jamaica by tonight.
Consequently, unstable weather conditions are expected across the island, beginning tomorrow morning.
The forecast is for periods of showers and thunderstorms, which may be heavy at times, to affect most parishes, especially eastern and central parishes, through to Sunday.
Fisherfolk and other marine interests, both inshore and offshore along the north and south coasts, should exercise caution, as sea conditions are expected to deteriorate in the vicinity of showers, thunderstorms and squalls.
