Area 3 police embark on major initiative to target scammers as well as serious and major crimes
The Area 3 police have embarked on a major initiative to target scammers as well as serious and major crimes.
The initiative dubbed “Operation Reset” was announced by Area 3 Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police Christopher Phillips, yesterday.
According to ACP Phillips, the parishes in area 3 to include Clarendon, Manchester and St. Elizabeth, will benefit from the operation.
Pointing to the trends in serious and major crimes, ACP Phillips said Manchester will be focused on curtailing criminal activity as the parish has seen a continued rise in murders and shootings.
ACP Phillips said the police will also be increasing operations targeting scammers.
ACP Phillips was speaking at the Mandeville Police Civic Committee Annual General Meeting and Top Cop Awards function on Monday in Ingleside, Manchester.
