The Auditor General’s Department says it is fairly satisfied with the financial management operations at the Ministry of Local Government and Community Development.
Deputy Auditor General, Marlon McAdam, made the disclosure at this morning’s sitting of the Public Accounts Committee of Parliament.
He was giving an overview of an audit conducted of the Ministry’s appropriation accounts for the 2023/2024 period.
The audit flagged the Ministry’s management of project funds, but Mr. McAdam noted that the Ministry has taken steps to improve this issue.
