Fruit vendor shot and killed in Moneague, St. Ann early this morning

A fruit vendor was killed in Moneague, St. Ann, early this morning.

Dead is 40-year-old Germaine Hedge, otherwise called “Hetchie” of Silkfield in Moneague.

Police reports indicate that at about 1:45 A.M., residents heard loud explosions near Hedge’s home.

A neighbour made checks and discovered Hedge in his room, lying face down in a pool of blood.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Investigations continue.
