Security guard killed in St Catherine

A security guard was shot and killed along Garnett Avenue, in Eltham Park, Spanish Town, St. Catherine, last evening.

Dead is 29 year old Delroy Briton, otherwise called Delly, of Garnett Avenue.

Reports are that at about 9:15 p.m. Briton was sitting at the gate to his residence, when explosions were heard and a car was observed being driven away.

The police were summoned and officers who responded found Briton lying along the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds.

Briton was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
