Prime Minister Dr. Andrew Holness has urged the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) to collaborate with enterprise level contractors to facilitate use of its lands for housing development.
While addressing the recent board retreat Dr. Holness pointed to the UDC’s role in structured urban renewal.
The Prime Minister noted that locations for urbanization are sometimes occupied by squatters because entities responsible for the development of the areas fail to make an investment.
He called on other government entities with lands to help with providing spaces for homes for low income earners.
