SIA records 27% decline in passenger arrivals up to May, when compared to the same period last year

The Sangster International Airport (SIA) has recorded a 27 per cent decline in passenger arrivals up to may, when
compared to the same period last year.
Chief Executive Officer of MBJ Airports Limited, Shane Munroe made the disclosure during a SIA forum yesterday.
Mr. Munroe said this decline is due to the impact of Hurricane Melissa.
He said the monthly trend showed the steepest decline at 37.3 per cent.
He noted that there is also a decline in aircraft movements.
