Upset residents of Troy, Trelawny stage demonstration following killing of 10-year-old girl

Upset residents of Troy District in Trelawny staged a demonstration this morning following the brutal killing of 10-year-old Shani Coke in the community on Tuesday.
Its reported that the girl had been sent to a nearby shop and when she did not return home a search was launched.
Residents discovered Coke’s body along a dirt track and alerted the police.
Around 8 o’clock this morning, scores of residents gathered with placards demanding justice for the child.
In an interview with IRIE FM News, head of Area One, Assistant Commissioner of Police Glenford Miller said officers have been on the ground working to ease the tension.
He added that the police have also increased their presence in the community since the incident occurred.
