As the Christmas season draws closer, the Jamaica constabulary force is urging citizens to take the necessary steps to avoid becoming victims of fraud.
Deputy Superintendent attached to the JCF’s Fraud Squad Division, Tashika Bruce warned that fraudsters often intensify their criminal activities during the festive season.
She advised that persons should protect their banking information.
DSP Bruce said business operators should avoid cheque transactions during the yuletide season.
She also reminded me that engaging in cash transactions over a million dollars is illegal.
