Police Commissioner Dr. Kevin Blake has outlined improvements in all five police areas, pointing to leadership, discipline and operational focus as key drivers of success.
Speaking during his end-of-year review, he stated that area one delivered the strongest performance recording the greatest reduction in crime for the year.
Murders in the area have plummeted by 57%, the largest decline among all divisions.
In area two, Dr. Blake noted that the crime situation remains mixed but manageable.
He said area three continues to demonstrate resilience and strong operational focus, with all divisions recording reductions in murders
In area four, he said every division also recorded a reduction in murders.
Meanwhile, area five has shown notable progress against violent crimes.
Dr. Blake described the outcomes as significant, noting that these divisions have historically carried heavy crime pressures.
