The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has pledged to maintain a presence at the Stella Maris Preparatory School in St. Andrew, following a reported threat to the institution.
The school reportedly got a video message which showed a man in a mask making threats.
The Major Organised Crime and Anti Corruption Agency (MOCA), has launched a probe into the threat.
The JCF’s Community Safety and Security Branch (CSSB) this morning offered support to the school.
In an interview with IRIE FM News, Principal Sister Mary Josephs said though some students did not show up for classes today, the environment is mainly calm.
She said armed security guards and the police are maintaining presence at the school.
