10 y/o girl killed in Trelawny

The body of a 10-year-old girl was found with her throat slashed along a dirt track in Troy District near Warsop, Trelawny, yesterday.

The deceased has been identified as Shani Coke.

Police were alerted and she was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Meanwhile, a man was reportedly killed by an angry mob in the same community following the incident.

He has been identified as Delroy Coke.

Police say he was allegedly beaten and chopped by residents.

The circumstances surrounding both deaths are under investigation.
