Agriculture Minister Floyd Green reminds farmers who want to construct rain water catchment ponds that they can get support from RADA

Agriculture Minister Floyd Green is reminding farmers who want to construct rain water catchment ponds that they can get support from the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA).

Mr. Green noted that catchment ponds are even more crucial now, during drought conditions, to store water for use on farms.

He said RADA can assist framers by providing pond liners free of cost.

The Agriculture Minister said efforts are ongoing to rehabilitate community tanks.

He was speaking at the National Irrigation Commission official launch of the Hartlands Irrigation Project in St. Catherine.
