Classes suspended at St. Elizabeth Technical High following fights on campus yesterday
Classes have been suspended at the St. Elizabeth technical high school, following what the school says was a series of incidents on campus yesterday.
There are reports of at least two fights yesterday and videos of altercations have emerged.
The school in a message to parents explains that the action to suspend classes has been taken to protect the safety of all members of the school community and ensure that provisions are made to maintain discipline.
Parents and guardians were advised that students should remain at home and complete any assignment given by their subject teachers.
Students sitting external examinations are among those expected to be on campus today.
IRIE FM News has learnt that the staff is meeting today, to review the situation and strategise on the way forward.
Its further understood that a formal report is to be submitted to the Education Ministry.
