Three men were shot one fatally during an attack in Cedar Grove District in Manchester last evening.
The deceased is 31-year-old businessman Jomo Trowers from Cedar Grove Knockpatrick.
Reports are that shortly after 9:00 PM the men were at Trowers’ business establishment, when a gunman approached the group and fired several shots hitting them.
The wounded persons were taken to hospital where Trowers died, while being treated.
The other two men were hospitalized.
In the meantime, Head of the Manchester Police, Superintendent Carey Duncan said the police will be employing measures to ensure that Manchester is safe throughout the yuletide season.
He said prior to Monday’s double murder and yesterday’s incident, the parish saw a reduction in murders for the past 3 months.
Superintendent Duncan noted that business will not continue as usual in the Barnstable and May Day areas where Monday’s double murder took place.
