The St Andrew North Police recovered two firearms and several rounds of ammunition in the Grants Pen and Stony Hill policing areas on Saturday, June 1, 2024.
Reports are that at about 1:45 am, a shooting occurred along Barbican Road, and after responding, the police carried out a search, and a Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol with a magazine, and 14 rounds was recovered.
In a subsequent targeted operation in the Brooks Level community of Stony Hill at about 7:00 am, one (1) MAC11 submachine gun and a magazine were recovered. No arrests were made in connection to these find.
Investigations are ongoing.
