Former Western St Mary Member of Parliament (MP), Jolyan Silvera, is to know on May 14 if he will be granted bail in relation to the murder charge against him in connection with the death of his wife, Melissa, last November. A bail application was made on behalf of Silvera in the Home Circuit Court in Kingston on Thursday, and the judge’s decision on the application is expected to be handed down on May 14. Jolyan Silvera was charged with murder after a post-mortem report indicated that bullet fragments were found inside his wife’s body after she died at the couple’s upper St Andrew home on November 10.
