Opposition spokesperson on telecommunication Phillip Paulwell has stated that the quality of mobile services being offered by providers is below the standard paid for.
He was speaking in the sectoral debate this afternoon.
Mr. Paulwell said mobile service has been poor and needs improvement.
Mr. Paulwell also called for transparency, following the government’s signing of a letter of intent, with TransAmericas Fiber System for the sub-sea cable project, which aims to strengthen the country’s digital infrastructure and resilience.
Mr. Paulwell also noted that he is awaiting the update from the government in relation to the introduction of a new mobile service provider.
