The St. Ann police are reporting a reduction in major crimes, especially murder which has fallen by 20% since the start of the year compared to the corresponding period last year.
Commander for Zone 1 in the St. Ann police division Deputy Superintendent David Blake, provided the update at a town hall meeting hosted by the St. Ann Municipal Corporation, in Brown’s Town.
DCP Blake explained that the police are targeting crime producers which has yielded significant results.
He said several persons including those responsible for break-ins in the Alexandria community were apprehended during targeted operations.
