The Jamaica Customs Agency (JCA) says it is working with the Finance Ministry to obstruct the efforts of individuals who wish to divert funds from the nation’s coffers.
Speaking with IRIE FM News, JCA’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Kirk Benjamin, says while the agency is not only preoccupied with revenue collections, its importance cannot be ignored.
Dr. Benjamin notes that the JCA will not relent in its efforts to plug all possible loopholes, including those relating to false declarations.
He said the funds collected are used to help with nation-building.
