Jamaicans are being urged to be on the alert for counterfeit bank notes.
The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) has stated that fraudulent notes including those of US currency are in circulation.
Commanding officer at the Newport West Police Station in Kingston, Superintendent Rochell McGibbon Scott, expressed concern about the increase in the circulation of such notes.
She said businesses should also use the necessary equipment to detect fake notes.
