Repair works on sections of the Noel Holmes Hospital in Hanover are almost complete, with full service resumption expected within weeks.

The facility was damaged during the passage of Hurricane Melissa last October.

Health Minister Dr. Christopher Tufton visited the hospital on Friday.

He noted that staff are satisfied with the efforts being made to restore the facility and resume pre-hurricane operations.

Dr. Tufton said the staff quarters is 99% complete.

He added that work on the maternity ward should be done by September.

Dr. Tufton noted that the dietary unit also has a similar completion timeline.
