The Jamaica Football Federation (JFF) has reassigned coach John Wall from his role as head coach of Jamaica’s Under-20 team to focus on assisting the senior team.

In a press release, the JFF mentioned that the Swedish coach “will be able to better concentrate on supporting coach Heimir Hallgrimsson in preparing the senior men’s national team for the various upcoming competitions.”

The Reggae Boyz are gearing up for competitions such as the Nations League, the Copa America championship, and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

Wall, who recently led the U20 men’s team during the Concacaf qualifying round in St. Kitts, also serves as the FIFA talent development scheme manager for Jamaica.

The JFF also announced that experienced coach Jerome Waite will now lead the U20 team, which is set to compete in the Concacaf championship/final round World Cup qualifiers in July.

“It’s always a joy working with the national program. It will be great going into the qualifiers with this group of players,” said Waite. “Qualification won’t be easy, but it is something that can be accomplished.”
